Ingredients

Both partners cook these together

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • ½ cup jarred salsa (for serving)
  • ¼ cup sour cream (or vegan sour cream)
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Vegan Path

Vegan Cheese + Black Beans

  • ¾ cup shredded vegan cheese
  • ½ cup canned black beans, drained

Omnivore Path

Cheddar + Chicken

  • ¾ cup shredded cheddar-jack cheese
  • ¾ cup rotisserie chicken, shredded

Instructions

Cook Together

    Heat a large skillet with a teaspoon of oil over medium heat.

    Serve quesadillas (after the cooking step) cut into wedges with salsa, sour cream, and cilantro.

Vegan Path

    Sprinkle vegan cheese and black beans over two tortillas. Top with two more tortillas. Cook 2 minutes per side until cheese melts and tortilla crisps.

Omnivore Path

  1. 1

    Sprinkle cheddar-jack and shredded chicken over two tortillas. Top with two more. Cook 2 minutes per side until cheese melts and tortilla crisps.
