Ingredients
Shared Base
Both partners cook these together
- •8 oz penne pasta
- •⅓ cup jarred basil pesto
- •1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- •1 tbsp olive oil
Vegan Path
Cannellini Beans
- •15 oz can canned cannellini beans, drained
- •1 tbsp vegan pesto (or check label)
Omnivore Path
Rotisserie Chicken
- •1½ cup rotisserie chicken, shredded
- •¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
Cook Together

Boil penne according to package directions. Reserve 0.5 cup pasta water before draining.

While the pasta cooks, halve the cherry tomatoes and warm them in a skillet with olive oil for 2 minutes until they start to burst.
Vegan Path
- 1
Toss half the pasta with half the burst tomatoes, drained cannellini beans, and pesto. Loosen with a splash of pasta water.
Omnivore Path
- 1
Toss the other half of the pasta with the remaining tomatoes, shredded rotisserie chicken, pesto, and Parmesan.
